This hotel is a good example of what I love about independent travel in Southeast Asia. Ridiculous value for money! Thoroughly recommended and I'll definitely stay next time I'm passing through Kampong Cham. Daly Hotel was pretty typical of most Cambodian tourist hotels, but it felt a bit of a step up in terms on newness, quality of service and room standard.
There are no extras - wifi, places to eat, etc. But you should be finding those when you explore the town anyway. The staff were nice, our room was large and the bathroom very good. There was almost no one else around so not sure if it was low-season or the place has opened recently. I would be happy to stay there again if i am ever in Kampong Cham. It cost 18 usd per night. I picked it as it's slightly cheaper and similar in quality or better than those hotels facing the mekong river.
Rooms are spotless, comes with 2, ml bottles of water every day. TV has cable. Mostly Cambodian but with some god western channels there are movie channels too! Great service, always with a beautiful smile Note: in case having windows in your room is essential - we were given room but moved down to as it had windows and didn't. Wifi available on every floor but only sometimes works well in rooms. Wifi works best on first floor. Even though the rooms are clean and comfortable, we did not enjoy our stay at all because the hotel was creeping us out.
Everything is empty, silent and white. Like a previous review said, it really felt like a ghost hotel. There are five floors and lots of rooms, but we didn't see or heard an other traveler. There is a brothel right next door, with very bright lights and lots of girls waiting there at night, which added to the creepiness. We stayed somewhere else , further out from town. The next day our tuk tuk driver took us here to have a look.
Fabulous JoB. This is a newish hotel, that I think is awaiting a city boom. Everything is new so in good condition throughout, rooms are cleaned and towels refreshed daily upon request.
