What country?? Despite dozens of residents' objections, the large construction project was finally approved on HaYarden Street in Raanana near Akiva and Weizman. Opponents claimed it is a quiet street with single family houses that did not match the two seven-story buildings 54 units planned to be erected.
The Commission rejected the residents objections, claiming that the outline plan allows for saturated construction on the site, and therefore allows the construction of high-rise buildings on the street.
They also claimed that the project's impact was minimal and was unlikely to generate traffic congestion. See more. The Raanana contingent also formally objected to the reported plan of Israel Railways to make passengers change trains at Herzliya in order to get to Tel Aviv.
